Alt-tropical vibes; that describe Cumbia Heights only in part. Chaotic and danceable, psychodelic, and wildly entertaining have been used to describe their music and work. Cumbia Heights has been working the DC music scene since 2020. Their recent single, Tumbado, is a reflection of the many influences that make up Cumbia Heights. As NPR puts it, they’ve become known for their unique ability to play their own stuff, turn out Latino classics like Jose Jose’s “Una Mañana,” and even remix George Michael’s “Careless Whisper” to fit their neo-cumbia sound.” Come get weird with us… CH

Ames Harding & the Mirage is a 4-piece band who’s unique blend of world-influenced indie is as catchy as it is nuanced. The project was started in 2021 by songwriter & producer Ames Harding, who grew up in Egypt, India, and Latin America, and combines psychedelica, folk, and world music.  The band is made up of Eli Weidman on drums, Mike Saunders on bass, and AJ Arnett on percussion. Their genre-bending songs, built on rich sonic landscapes, surreal lyricism, and percussion, will truly take you on a trip.
