Steel City is a music collaborative consisting of Jake Steel (guitar) Evan Fink (drums) and a rotating group of musicians. Local to DC, they debuted with Steel City EP in May 2023, cleverly interweaving rock, funk and blues. During their live shows, they break into extended improvisation jams, cover their influences and engage the audience from the stage and on the venue floor.
Josee Molavi brings powerful soul-inspired vocals to center stage in her genre-bending, artful music. Molavi is a vocalist, songwriter, self-taught multi-instrumentalist and arranger grown from blues rock roots in Maryland. To support her colorful lyrical reflections on relationships, travel, and personal discoveries, Molavi’s sound combines intricate melodies and acoustic textures against an indie-alternative backdrop. Josee Molavi keeps her audience watching and listening with her captivating performance skills and experimentation in and between genres.
