THE MERCY ALLIANCE based in Washington, D.C. has garnered a reputation for lyrically rich, musically layered, song-driven studio albums. The band has brought their image-filled songs and evocative melodies to audiences all over the US. Sirius XM and AAA stations like New York’s WFUV and Charlotte’s WNCW have championed the band and live radio performances have included WFUV’s “Words and Music” and public radio’s Mountain Stage. GREY SWIFT is a post-punk band from the Washington DC area. Their array of originals blends together influences such as Mission of Burma, Yo La Tengo and R.E.M. with psychedelic elements. Their songs explore a variety of musical and lyrical moods — changing suddenly between rock grooves, jangly guitar duets and angular stops. Active since the Spring of 2022, they have already released two studio EPs (both available on bandcamp), and played several local gigs.
